Do spicy foods and chili peppers boost metabolism?
Slightly. Capsaicin, the compound that makes chili peppers hot, mildly activates thermogenesis and can add roughly 50 calories a day of expenditure while modestly reducing appetite.
The effect is small, tends to shrink as you get used to spicy food, and will not meaningfully change body weight on its own.
Does drinking cold water boost metabolism?

People sensitive to caffeine, those with anxiety, heart rhythm problems or uncontrolled high blood pressure, and anyone pregnant or breastfeeding should limit caffeine and concentrated green-tea extracts.
