Affiliate Disclosure

SourceLean is reader-supported. Here’s exactly how our affiliate links work — and why they never change what we write.

Last updated: June 2026

SourceLean is a reader-supported, independent guide to weight-loss supplements. To keep the site free and running, we use affiliate links. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language, so you always know where we stand.

What an affiliate link is

Some of the links on SourceLean — particularly the “Official site” and “Buy now” buttons on our product pages — are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy the product, we may earn a small commission from the merchant or affiliate network.

  • It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the seller directly. The commission comes out of the merchant’s side, not yours.
  • Checkout always happens on the official product website. We never take payment, and we never handle your card or personal details — you buy directly from the seller on their own secure site.

Which programs we use

Many of the weight-loss products we cover are sold through ClickBank and similar affiliate networks, and our links to those products are affiliate links. We may add other reputable affiliate programs over time. Affiliate links on our site carry the standard rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, as recommended for disclosure.

How this affects what we write — and what it doesn’t

This is the part that matters most, so we’ll be direct:

  • Commissions never change our verdict. Our clarity scores measure label transparency, and our reviews describe ingredients, doses and honest cautions. We do not inflate a product, hide a weakness, or rank something higher because it pays a commission.
  • We flag the downsides. Where a product hides doses in a proprietary blend, leans on hype, or has weak evidence, we say so — even when it’s a product we link to.
  • Earning a commission is not an endorsement. A link means the product is available to buy through that merchant, not that we guarantee results. No supplement is a substitute for diet, activity, sleep or medical care.

Why we use affiliate links at all

Researching, writing and maintaining detailed, honest reviews takes real work. Affiliate commissions let us keep SourceLean free to read, with no paywalls and no intrusive ads, while staying independent of any single brand. If you find the site useful and choose to buy through our links, it genuinely helps — and we appreciate it.

The FTC bit

In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and disclosures, we want this relationship to be clear and conspicuous: SourceLean may be compensated when you purchase through links on this site. You’ll also see a short affiliate disclosure in our site footer on every page.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you’d like to know whether a specific link is an affiliate link, get in touch via our contact page — we’re happy to be transparent about it.
